"fag hag columnists"? Don't know about that, but Bush does have the better part of two years to do his worst. Cheney is just coming back from his around-the-world jaunt during which he thanked everyone who participated in his "coalition of the willing" - even if they long ago stopped participating, such as Japan. Cheney is busy, anyway, spouting made-for-TV insults to opponents of Bush foreign policy - remember how the Iraqis were going to welcome us with "flowers and parades"? - and some of the insults are aimed at Iran - almost in a dare or doube-dare fashion. No, Bush is not done. The dude is still dangerous.

I wish there were an argument here but there is nothing much to say other than "oh shit". the Congress (and much of the press) is not up to addressing the reality of it all as long as we have the diversion of a 24 month presidential campaign with much toing and froing on issues that need something more than maneuvering for an election almost two years in the future.

And a lameduck Bush remains dangerous to our health.
