					<description>Memories seem to have different lifetimes in different cultures. The Balkans still simmer over events in the 16th century and Turks and Armenians still get violent over events in 1915.  But the Algerians and the French seem to have moved on from theit 20th century issues.

Canadians can afford to be generous in their feelings toward their Simpson-family neighbors because we have not bombed them. Yet.</description>
