					<description>Doug and Bob are onto something and I suspect a touch of Schadenfreude in their posting. And why not? The news today is that we are being asked to pony up another $190B US dollars for next year's Iraq adventures. Given the current trend this will be worth about 175B loonies next year.

As for the armed forces, as the United States continues to hasten the decay of its armed services, Canada's will likely be asked to carry more of the load in Afghanistan and at some point that will not sit well with Bob and Doug's fellow citizens.</description>
