Obama should be able to make a complicated and massive political structure make domestic decisions that we all approve of. No can do. On the international scene, on the other hand. when he sits there with Medvedev, Merkel or the power-wielders in Africa, one still shakes one’s head at first, marvelling at the fact that Obama represents a whole new possibility for the USA by the very fact that he is sitting there.
